For your information, before the launch of the PS5 in November 2020, Sony stated the following:
The PS5 is compatible with 8K displays at launch, and after a future system software update, will be able to output at up to 8K resolution when content becomes available.
However, that update never arrived, as the PS5 supports up to 4K. In terms of content, so far there is only one game that displays in 8K, and that is The Touryst.
