Thanasis Efthymiadis: “I have eaten much wood and will drink in its memory?”

“He hit me a lot when I was a child,” Thanassis Efthymiadis admitted.

Full interview… Roots awarded by Thanassis Efthymiadis In the magazine OK! and journalist Maria Papaioannou on the occasion of his new show on MEGA. Among other things, the beloved actor went back to his childhood and wanted to explain to us how important the role of forgiveness was in his life.

More specifically, Thanassis Efthymiadis admitted, “I have apologized in my life, but not because I regretted it, but because I realized that I had to learn a lesson a certain way. So I have apologized but I have also forgiven some people. Because if you don’t forgive, you will be poisoned.” First, I had to forgive the teacher who hit me in elementary school. I realized I didn’t forgive this guy when we got together with my old classmates, and one of the group said “Goodbye to the memory of the teacher.” You and I have eaten a lot of wood – I said to my neighbor – and I will drink in his memory? “That’s when I realized I didn’t forgive him.”

“I put a lot of work on myself to make it happen. I went and found his son in Kavala a few years ago and told him ‘I forgave your father even though he hit me a lot when I was a kid.’ He picked me up and hit me in front of the whole class. And that was a pedagogical method.”

“I told him ‘If he hadn’t hit me then, I would have loved school and had never become an artist. I hated school and that’s why I became an artist. So I forgive him and thank him.'” What I can say is that there is nothing wrong in life, everything happens for a reason.”
