She is “reviving” her home in Patisan

A magnificent building with its own special history. The house where she lived Maria Callas From 1937 to 1945, it gets “life” again.

The main objective of the project includes the main works:

• Restoration of protected building and roof facades, as well as all protected parts of its interior.
• Reinforcement, and where necessary, rehabilitation of internal load-bearing structures determined to be fragile and dangerous due to earthquake damage and previous fires on first floors.
• Creating a building that meets all modern functional and construction specifications for a specific application.
• Provision for unrestricted use of all spaces by persons with reduced mobility, by means of special means, from the entrance to a raised ground floor and a slightly sunken basement and then rising via elevators to the rest of the floors.
• Addressing all requirements of active and passive fire protection.
• Maximum use of all natural lighting, ventilation and cooling techniques.

After its restoration, the building will be handed over to the association “Academy of Lyric Arts Maria Callas” so that it will be its “home”.
