Giorgos Karaivaz: Both arrested and taken to prison

The two arrested men, aged 40 and 48, accused of murdering journalist Giorgos Karaivas, were sent to prison with the agreement of the investigator and prosecutor after a lengthy apology and a lengthy conference.

Accusations

Both defendants were arrested on warrants issued by an investigator with the consent of competent counsel for the offenses of accessory to murder and illegal carrying of firearms.

Both defendants, according to their defense counsel, deny the alleged crimes and say they had nothing to do with the murder of Giorgos Karaivas. In fact, according to their defence, they refute the evidence cited by the police officers and talk about “logical leaps” on the basis of which they were arrested.

Tomorrow, according to reports, the journalist’s widow will testify in support of the accusation at the trial with his lawyer Apostolos Litra.
