Trikala: Student who died on school trip – rescued after 2 hours of struggle

The death of a schoolgirl who went to school in Trikala has caused great shock.

It may be recalled that a 15-year-old student from Trikala was partying with her fellow students at a night club as part of a school trip when she fell ill around 1 am and lost consciousness. .

Immediately, she was shifted to Trikala General Hospital, where doctors made inhumane efforts to revive her, but to no avail.

The dramatic moments were described on newsit.gr by hospital commander Constantinos Gregorio, who noted, among other things, that doctors at the hospital spent almost two hours trying to revive the 15-year-old boy.

“At 1:17 am, the girl arrived at the emergency department of our hospital by EKAB ambulance. We immediately started CPR and intubation. The girl had ventricular fibrillation and we went for defibrillation and a temporary nerve pacemaker was placed. After trying for about two hours, he did not come back,” he said.

Characteristically, they even attached an external pacemaker to the woman, but even that wasn’t enough to keep her alive.

The girl’s parents were informed and rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night, where they were briefed by psychologists at the hospital about their child’s tragic fate. Psychologists are next to her classmates.
