As it became known within a month Netflix It will bring the favorite game to its subscribers. Specifically, it is about world of gooan award-winning indie game from 2008 that will be remastered specifically to be added to the Steam service.
The title will be added to the relevant section of Netflix on May 23, allowing all subscribers to enjoy it at no additional cost, with no ads and no in-app purchases. Of course, it will be available for both Android and iOS devices.
For the record, World of Goo first came out in October 2008, about 15 years ago, for Windows PC and Nintendo Wii. In the following years, it also hit Android, iOS, Mac OS, Linux, and Switch. If you are not familiar with its concept, the title is based on interaction with physics.
Players must complete different levels by building gooey ball structures to jump over gaps, hills and other obstacles to reach the suck tube on each track! The advantage is that it should be used as little as possible for its construction, because to complete each path, a certain number must pass through the pipe.
The Netflix remaster will have the same levels, with the same puzzles. The main change will concern its graphics, which have been updated to be twice the resolution of the original game, so that the gameplay will be more enjoyable on today’s high-resolution smartphone and tablet screens.
The game will also feature a new progression system that records a player’s progress between devices, using their Netflix profile to sync.
