Pantelis Diamantopoulos broke out on the show “Show Must Go On” referring to the Greek assistants of Dimitris Itoudis and their behavior throughout the Olympiacos series with Fenerbahce.
Olympiacos sealed their ticket to the Final Four in Kaunas with a Game 5 victory over Fenerbahçe. With the series now complete, Pantelis Diamantopoulos referred to the conversation he had with Spyros Kavalieratos on Show Must Go On about something he was unfamiliar with: the behavior of Dimitris Itoudis’ Greek assistants.
Reason Stefanos Didas (Assistant Coach) and Kostas Hatzichristos (Fitness Coach), as Pantelis Diamantopoulos stands for the way he acted during the Series and in Game 5.
“I didn’t even bother, I just told the series to end. We do not support creating problems and impressions and causing chaos in stadiums. But what happened was very bad.” The host of the show at one point said, continuing:
“On this show we have treated Fenner fairly. We said he pushed hard and all that chaos he made basically in the last stretch of the regular season was unspeakable and he managed to turn it around. We said 1000 guts to etudes and players.
We were all saying that until the fourth match, if it was a boxing match, Fenerbahçe’s hand would go up in points. All this, we do not take it back, regardless of whether it was knocked out of the match and Olympiacos shot it from the 17th and sent it to Istanbul.
Later, Pantelis Diamantopoulos exploded: “So Etodis is a federal coach and cursed by the field, which unfortunately will never stop. Sloka was cursed once, now Dorsey. In any case. Etodis is the coach of Fenerbahçe and he does his job. I get that he might not like it, but, yeah, he’ll hit and yell and complain about the referees and do a thousand and two.
Every team has an organizational chart. There is the coach and the rest. There is also a Greek element on the seat of Fenerbahçe. One of his partners is Mr. Didas and the other is the gymnast Mr. Hatzichristos. Some of the Olympiacos players were reversed throughout the series. They said it themselves. One of them was telling the other what had happened. Each one of you has the right not to believe it until you see it with your own eyes.
Vezhenkov – Can any of you tell me – where did he make his career? I do not say another player. Where did he give him the right in his walk, to have a partner in Itoudis and tell him what they tell him? And we do it in peace and friendship. In other words, let’s make an effort, let’s let the store become an oppa, let it become a tavern.”
