At 20:30 on Saturday afternoon, the 15-year-old was walking with a friend his age at the intersection of Alexandros Svolos and Ethnikis Aminis streets in the center of Thessaloniki.

As his friend said, they were attacked from behind by two old men in blue, wearing full face masks. The minor fell to the ground and the assailants continued to kick him on the body and head, resulting in two cracks in his ribs. They beat him furiously and fled in an unknown direction.

The 15-year-old boy’s father says the attack on his son was carried out by people from an anarchist place because the 15-year-old boy was wearing a shirt with an Air Force emblem and Greek on his chest. Flag in hand. “I’m 1,000% sure they hit him for the shirt,” he says characteristically, speaking to a local site. “Because she was wearing a blouse?” Should they hit him? The 15-year-old was hospitalized for three days at the “Georgios Gennimatas” hospital, after two ribs were broken by blows from veiled men. “My child has bruises all over his body,” says his father angrily.

Today, the boy has returned to his home physically healthy, but psychologically he is traumatized by the unprovoked attack. “We have the police calling every day to see how the boy is and to tell the department everything that happened. He still can’t. He’s shocked, I can see it in his eyes, he’s scared,” says his father.

“His team no longer comes to the centre, they are scared,” he adds and does not hide his annoyance that no one was seen to help his son who was under attack.

“I find it ridiculous. At least let someone call 100, nothing more. It’s only three digits. Today it’s my baby, tomorrow it’s someone else’s,” he says characteristically.

“Don’t find them first, they’ll be out of luck”

A 15-year-old’s father vents his anger at the unnecessary and cowardly attack his son and his friend received on Good Seats. As he says, he wants to hunt them down and catch them himself.

“It’s better for the police to find them than for me. I’ve never touched a mosquito in my life. Don’t find them first, they’ll be very unlucky in life. They’ll have to be hunted down and caught. And I’ll tell the police. Either one of us can be caught first. I won’t let it go. These two. They should be punished, they should understand what punishment means,” he says with exasperation.

The father of the 15-year-old boy intends to take legal action. On Wednesday, he will file a case against unknown persons for the incident, while competent authorities will call the 15-year-old for a statement. According to reports, the incident will be investigated by the Deputy Director of State Security, who handles the anti-authority section.
