On the other hand, the first prize for women (quite rightly) went to Eleni Coquido’s masterpiece of “The Black Stone” by Spyros Iacovides, while a total of four awards, all in artistic categories, went to “Broadway” by Christos Masalas.

Finally, from the rest of the ceremony, one deserves my emphasis on two positions: that of the President of the Academy, Lefteris Charitou, who said “we are here an ecosystem of culture, not just a group or a family”; , a reflection on (award-winning) director Thanassis Neofotisto, who stated that “as a gay person, I am concerned about the rise of the far-right in the last election”.
