The pivotal decision of Dinos Mitoglu’s career became known on July 5th.
In particular, the Court of Arbitration for Sport accepted the Greek mentor’s appeal against the first court ruling in the doping case and decided to halve his ban, that is, to 16 months.
This means that from July 28, when his 16-month sentence is completed, he will be able to normally participate in matches.
This is important not only for the national team, which he will be able to strengthen, but also for any club that intends to acquire it. Panathinaikos has been anxiously awaiting the decision on Mitoglou anyway, and is now very close to being sent back to the OAKA.
The 27-year-old is in advanced negotiations with Panathinaikos and both sides are close to finalizing their agreement.
The team has already done the necessary preparatory work and is offering him a contract until 2026.
Mitoglou is a very attractive case for the ‘greens’, because in addition to his given quality, he has a past in the team (2017-2021) and will also help issue Greek passports.
