Let’s take a serious look before it’s too late…

Let’s get serious before it’s too late…

Unfortunately the second term has not started well for the government, the University Constabulary and the mounted police force are displaying a shrill and “we are unopposed” mentality, we are enjoying it and don’t care what it looks like…

At the start, the new Minister of Citizen Security, Mr. Mitarakis, appeared and spoke about the permanent abolition of the University Police and the creation of the Mounted Police. Upgrading problematic services…

A few hours later, the Prime Minister “released” Mitrakis. “We inform you that the establishment of a loaded team in the Greek police has been proposed by Minister of Civil Defense Nodis Mitarakis and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has not accepted that proposal,” government sources said.

The next day, in a question during the conference of political teachers, in response to a question about the university police, the government representative, Mr. Marinakis clarified: “The University Police has not been abolished, we are reviewing what that will look like. The restoration of order, function, dignity, purity, freedom, research and discourse in HEIs has the support of the majority community and the reluctance and cowardice of the government is one of its dark spots.

Despite this, steps have been taken in the right direction in HEIs, but we are still far from equal to the EU average.

Overall improvement of educational activity is a race for the general social development of the country and not only to meet the needs of the economy with highly qualified workforce.

We live in an age where social networks and public communication digital channels act as amplifiers for the spread of “new obscurity” of alternative “scientific” theories, religions and conspiracy theories.

It is up to the family, and especially education, to protect citizens with the antidotes of reason necessary to neutralize or slow the decline and decay of progressive societies born of the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution.

Pushing the country starts in the schools and universities… not the tourist attractions dreamed up by the strong student movements of the Mitarachis and the “neo-Bolsheviks” of the left.

We must be serious…
