Katsori murder: Profile of two “die-hard” Panathinayak fans arrested for murders

ELAS officials try to find out the role of Greeks arrested among the Croatian thugs in the events leading to the murder of Michalis Katsoris.

The apology process of 105 arrested persons will start tomorrow. The accused will be divided into groups – decided by the police – for investigators who have taken up the case.

Katsori murder: Greek fans’ role explored

According to information from iefimerida.gr, two Panathinaikos fans known to the authorities have been confirmed among those arrested.

Police sources say that all scenarios have been considered, such as whether Greek fans had a role in guiding Greek fans “at the table”, which cannot be taken for granted. ELAS officials conducting preliminary investigations have determined that Croatian thugs were in contact with Panathinaikos fans.

But this must be proven through an assortment of communications, during which phone calls and messages exchanged between Croats and Greeks are revealed.

According to the same sources, one of the two arrested Greeks is a “hard” case of a fan who has been involved in incidents with fans of other teams and criminal behavior in the past.

• In February 2022 Fans were arrested for defying the curfew. He attended the Panathinaikos – Olympiakos basketball final in Heraklion, Crete.

According to other reports, a third Panathinaikos fan was among those arrested, as yet unconfirmed.

A new video-documentary of Dinamo Zagreb’s hooligans has come to light yesterday, shortly before the events that led to the murder of Michaelis Katsoris in New Philadelphia.

In a video published by Star’s main news bulletin, hooligans can be seen walking with footballs in their hands, a few meters away from the AEK stadium.

According to the Star, a minute later the camera shows 7 policemen in the same place with flashlights and cameras smartly following the thugs, reminiscent of a raiding party.

In another shot, thugs can be seen gathering on a plot of land near the scene of the clash.

As the report stated, they kept quiet so as not to be noticed until the signal to attack was given. They stayed at the scene for three minutes and left after creating a disturbance.
