It’s 15 years old and it’s changing – the new features of the popular browser

the Chrom It turns 15 this month, and Google is planning to celebrate in style. In a company blog post published on Thursday (07/09), the company announced that the redesigned app for the popular desktop browser will be available in the coming weeks.

Thus, changing themes is easier than ever, with over a dozen color options, as well as light and dark browser mode variations. The new Chrome browser will remember the theme you selected earlier when you switch between Google accounts.

With the new Google Chrome changes

“We’ve updated Chrome icons with a focus on readability and created new color palettes that better complement tabs and the toolbar,” Parisa Tabriz, vice president of Chrome, wrote in the Google post.

Google has also redesigned the Chrome Web Store and added categories that include AI-powered extensions and picks from the company’s editorial team. Google has also redesigned the Chrome menu (three vertical dots) to make it more comprehensive and make it easier for users to access the browser’s most useful features, including extensions and a built-in password manager, with fewer clicks.

Google is also releasing an updated version of Chrome’s Safe Browsing feature. From now on, instead of checking the internal list of malicious websites every 30-60 minutes, Chrome will do it in real time. “By reducing the time between detecting and preventing threats, we expect to see 25% better protection against malware and phishing threats,” said Parisa Tabriz. Google is expected to release the Safe Browsing update in the coming weeks.
