Fierce attack by fascists on ISAP train

A few minutes before 8pm on Wednesday, a group of around 30-40 fascists launched an organized and brutal attack on the Monastiraki power station.

Fascists – dressed in black, masked faces and wearing turbans and chanting anti-anarchist slogans – occupied a particular Piraeus-bound train carriage and caused material damage, while voices were heard from the carriage. The woman was seriously injured in the attack and was taken to Gennimatas Hospital. The train was stopped and the frightened passengers were instructed to evacuate the spot.

After the attack, the Fascists fled to the surrounding narrows, many of them moving towards Theseus.

There were no police in the area at the time, only two DIAS teams in the square. About half an hour later the police came and checked the wires.

According to the STASY, “At Pefkakia station, 3 card readers at the entrance and exit gates of the station were damaged, and at Monastiraki station, glass panes were broken on a train.”

What does EL.AS mean?

According to police reports, anti-fascists took the train from Neo Heraklion, some of them disembarked at Victoria station, where they caused damage and threw stones and bullets at police officers, and broke two machines belonging to the DIAS group.

However, social media posts with video documentation show brutal repression, including beatings and the use of chemicals.

Another group of fascists stopped at Monastiraki, where they damaged a certain wagon. According to the same sources, there was also a clash against the fascists, and a woman was injured (as mentioned above, she was taken to Gennimatas Hospital). 4 visits were made to Monastiraki.

Finally, some fascists went to the rocks of the Acropolis, where they lit torches. Police arrested 6 people there.
