Anwar Gargash, diplomatic advisor to the UAE President, welcomed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Abu Dhabi on Sunday, saying it “opens a new positive page in bilateral relations.”

President Erdogan will visit the UAE on Monday and Tuesday, following the visit of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Turkey on November 24, 2021.

Gargash said, on Twitter, that “President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to the UAE, which comes after Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to Turkey, marks the opening of a new positive page in bilateral relations.”

He explained that this “is in line with the UAE’s desire to strengthen channels of communication and cooperation aimed at ensuring stability and prosperity in the region.”

He added, “The UAE continues to strengthen channels of communication with various countries, in order to enhance the stability and prosperity of the region and the well-being of its people.”

Gargash concluded, “The UAE’s policy is positive and rational and aims to ensure security, peace and regional development, and President Erdogan’s visit to Abu Dhabi is part of this perspective that we count on to ensure a prosperous future.”

During President Erdogan’s visit, the two countries will sign 12 agreements covering investment, defense, transportation, health and agriculture.
