When will the excess premium be paid?

When will the excess premium be paid?

according to OPCA On Friday, December 22, 2023 Extraordinary interest will be paid to OPCA With a value of 175 million euros, including: Among other things the child benefits.

more details:

to Child benefit 1.5 premiums are paid additionally, i.e. a family with two children who receives a child benefit of €140 will receive €350. The increase will be 150%.

For people with disabilities, the allowance will rise to 200 euros.

Those on the guaranteed minimum income will receive half the monthly payment while also being reminded of the 8% increase that began in December.

Recipients of the uninsured elderly benefit will receive exceptional assistance of 150 euros. It is noteworthy that the disbursement of the monthly allowances and the child allowance from OPCA will take place on the same day.

Examples of increasing the child’s benefit

It is noteworthy that OPEC recently published on its website some examples of how the increase in bonus is given:

Example 1: A family consisting of two parents and two children, with an annual income of 28,000 euros:

The family parity scale is: 1 + 1/2 +1/4 + 1/4 = 2.
So the equivalent income is: €28,000/2=€14,000.
So the family is on income scale C and instead of getting €56 of the benefit per month as they normally would have with a 150% increase, the benefit will be €140.

2 Example: Single-parent families with two children and an annual income of €10,500

The family parity scale is: 1 + 1/2 + 1/4 = 1.75.
So the equivalent income is: €10,500 / 1.75 = €6,000.
So the family belongs to income scale A and instead of receiving a bonus of 140 euros, it will receive a total of 350 euros with an increase of 150%.

3 Example: A family consisting of two parents and 4 children and its annual income is 24,500 euros:

The family parity scale is: 1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 = 2.5.
So the equivalent income is: €24,500 / 2.5 = €9,800.
The family belongs to income scale B and will receive 252 euros per month.
The family therefore belongs to income scale B and instead of receiving an allowance of €252, will receive a total of €630, an increase of 150%.
