Jovanovic got to Anastasios chasing the game

Another place among the coaches with the most league victories on the bench for Panathinaikos was won by Ivan Jovanovic after the Greens' 3-0 win away to Volos in the final match of the 2023 treble.

It was the 52nd win for the Serbian coach, who surpassed Giannis Anastasio in victories but achieved it in one match less, as the 60-year-old coach led the treble in 87 matches compared to the Greek coach, who sat on the bench for Panathinaikos in 88 matches in the tournament.

Now Jovanovic sees his name appear seventh out of a list of 61 coaches who have led the Greens nationally to even a single tournament game.

This is of course a special achievement if we take into account that only eight technicians have achieved more than 50 victories with Panathinaikos in the tournament.

Now Ivan Jovanovic's next target is to reach and surpass Harry Jim's 65 wins in 91 league matches while slightly ahead of him with 70 wins in 97 matches is Juan Ramon Rocha.
