The four news Invoices It's three, because orange assumes a smart meter
Everything has changed since the new year with new electricity tariffs and charges Consumers To face a new reality that they cannot yet compare to, as the RAE website is still under construction.
The four new definitions are three, because the orange color assumes the presence of a smart meter. As for the green color, which was chosen by about 70% of consumers, its prices are as follows:
- From 0.13635 euros/kWh – 0.216 euros/kWh,
- December price: €0.170/kWh (C1 tariff),
- Discount December 2023 – January 2024 20%,
- for 500 kWh from 85 euros (12/2023) to 68.17 euros (01/2024).
The green price “elevator” is formed depending on the provider for the consumption of 500 kWh:
- Buying power: 0.1363 € 68.15
- Protergia: 0.1426 euros 71.3
- Heron: 0.14052 EUR 70.26
- NRG: 0,141 70,5 euros
- Eileen: 0.1403 EUR 70.15
- Natural gas: 0.1426 euros 71.3
- Volterra: 0.1439 71.95 euros
- Fulton: 0.1441 72.05 euros
- Zenny: 0.169 EUR 84.05
- Elbidson: 0.1706 85.03 euros
Fixed price: 4 to 5 euros for most providers.
Disturbances and changes for mass consumption
The consumer will pay for 500 and 1000 kWh with green and blue tariffs:
- Buying power: €68.15 €141.12 €179
- Protegea: 71.3 euros 142.6 euros 165 euros
- NRG: €70.19 €140.38 €149
Of course, the consumer can always search, but this does not mean that he will find, since the transition to three-color tariffs was not accompanied by the presence of clear rules, as Nikos Philippidis wrote in the authoritative magazine Energymag, the new tariffs are: “cheaper but carefully “hidden”” On the websites of service providers.
At the same time, a consumer who wants to go to the yellow tariff now can find lower prices than the green tariff if he searches hard, but be careful because if the wholesale price rises the situation changes.
The clear picture exists today only in PPC:
Crash test for yellow and green definitions
- myHome4all PPC (yellow): 0.12653
- PPC (green): 0.13635
- 500 kWh price: €63.26 (yellow) – €68.17 (green)
- Difference: 4.91 euros
Dear…settle on blue tariffs
On the other hand, the stability of blue tariffs brings unpleasant surprises to those who made this choice, for peace of mind, and now if they want to change it, they will also pay a harsh withdrawal penalty.
-PPC (for 500 kWh): 0.13635 and 5 euros fixed – 0.175 – 0.179 and overnight 0.166 – 0.169 also 3.5-5 euros – 73.17 euros, 91 euros.
-HERON (for 500 kWh): 0.14052, constant 5 – 0.165 euros, constant 7.5 – 75.26 euros, 90 euros
Thus, the consumer can pay on an annual basis up to an additional month of electricity through tariffs that, apart from the tricolor, also prove to be a black manta for many consumers.
Hidden “penalties” on electricity bills
A penalty ranging from 20 to 50% is imposed on consumers who do not adhere to their payments, meaning that even one day of late payment can significantly increase your electricity bill.
