New Left: “To Be the Voice of the Many”

In an atmosphere full of camaraderie, hope and determination, the Pan-Hellenic meeting of the New Left Executives took place in the Seraphion of the Municipality of Athens.

The work of the New Left concluded on Saturday afternoon with Knossos Iliopoulos coordinating the debate and confirming the road map for the formation of the body.

Party formation of the New Left is gaining momentum. As pointed out in the closing of Nasos Iliopoulos, in a series of interventions and speeches, this process can only be done from outside, in small and large struggles, together with the community.

“To be the voice of many” is a phrase heard at many installations. The head of K.O. pointed out. In his speech, the goal of the New Left is not only the positive surprise of the European elections, but also the victory in the battle for the ideological and political supremacy of leftist ideas for the supremacy of modern progressive solutions. “At the ballot box, of course, but not only there. Above all in the lives of citizens”, said Alexis Haritzis.

In this context, the New Left is advancing its organizational development with specific steps and timetables.

Open assemblies and events will begin across the country from Monday. Alexis Haritzis begins this process from Kalamada, where he will attend the Open Conference of the New Left with Dimitris Christopoulos, professor and activist in the field of rights.

A presence that represents the New Left's mission to engage with the full range of personalities and movements from left, center-left, political ecology, rights. The first day of the meeting was characterized by the presence of Petros Kokkalis and a very warm atmosphere with MPs and New Left officials.

At the same time, a campaign for accuracy will be carried out, while the fight against the privatization of higher education promoted by the Mitsotakis government will be the first priority.

The first step in the party-building process will be the Panhellenic Convention, which will be held on the last weekend of February. The goal is a corporate conference after the summer.

The temporary coordinator is responsible for deciding the steps and organizing the Pan-Hellenic Conference at the end of February.
