A 38-year-old woman was found dead in a New York hotel room. The woman was seen next to a blood-stained iron last week and has now been identified. According to authorities, it involves Denise Olise-Arancibia's mother Queens area.
Denise Ulis-Arancibia was found dead inside the SoHo 54 Hotel in Manhattan by a maid last Thursday. Her body was on the ground under a blanket, authorities said.
The iron was found next to the woman who had been staying at the hotel for several days. A spokesman for the New York Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said The death has been officially ruled a homicide, he told the New York Post.
The spokesman said that the cause of death was pressure on the neck area and severe head trauma. The NYPD said no arrests have been made in this case.
The victim's 18-year-old son reportedly said his mother appeared stressed in the week before she was killed. “The (previous) week she was sad. “She was very nervous and anxious.” Edwin Cevallos said.
The 38-year-old moved from Ecuador to New York and She lived with her 18-year-old son and nephew. Her parents and youngest son remained in South America, the Daily News reported.
He has always worked for us to give us the best life in this country. He always had money to cover anything in the house. He did not owe anyone money.” The victim's 18-year-old son said.
