While rumors are circulating that Xbox is preparing to announce a new cross-platform strategy,… Play Station Now it's time to officially make some similar and interesting statements.
Going into detail, it appears that PlayStation is also looking to bring PlayStation Studios experiences to more platforms, but without specifying what exactly that means. Many expect that the company plans to invest more on PC, adopting a simultaneous release strategy on PC and PlayStation, just as it did with Helldivers 2 recently.
But what did Sony say? In his speech to investors, its president, Hiroki Totoki, emphasized the following:
“In the past, we wanted to push console… but there's a synergy in that. So, if we have strong first-party content, not just on our console, but also on other platforms like PC, and first-party can be developed with consoles. “This can help improve operating profits.”
