The first photo of the Lenovo laptop with a transparent screen – Lenovo

The latest images to have surfaced show two of these prototype devices in an office environment, with the transparent screen of one of the laptops allowing a clear view of the unit behind it. These images come as a continuation of the information received from the WindowsReport website, which a few days ago provided us with the first information about the upcoming Lenovo concept.

Transparent display technology is not a new concept as it has appeared in many modular instruments for many years. For example, Samsung provided Its own version A transparent laptop at CES 2010. However, it seems that after more than a decade, the tech industry is preparing to bring this futuristic technology to the market. This is evidenced by the display trains with transparent OLED screens in China and Japan, in addition to the transparent TVs that we saw up close last month at CES 2024. There, LG and Samsung made related proposals, and the former even has the commercially ready Signature OLED T launched. During the year at a cost that will exceed $10,000.

It is worth noting that even if Lenovo showcases this transparent laptop at MWC, it does not necessarily mean that the product will be available for purchase. Lenovo has previously demonstrated innovative designs, such as a laptop with a foldable screen, without a commercial consumer product to follow. In any case, Insomnia will be in Barcelona at the end of the month between February 26 and 29 to closely monitor the most important announcements, one of which will likely be Lenovo's first laptop with a transparent display.
