Panathinaikos
Ergin Ataman said that he knows there are MLS teams monitoring him, but he clarified that he has a contract with Panathinaikos Aktor for another year and that he does not yet have an offer from the other side of the Atlantic.
Ergin Ataman always has the NBA in the back of his mind. But right now, all he thinks about is Panathinaikos Aktor.
This was confirmed, among other things, in his interview with Fanatic, where the conversation touched on some point in his future and his thoughts about crossing the Atlantic.
“I have a contract with Panathinaikos for another year. “Of course I’m happy” The Turkish technician stated at the beginning, adding: “On the other hand, I am a professional and I will appreciate the situation. If the team does not want me to extend my contract, they will release me next year. The atmosphere in Athens is good.”
At the conclusion of the topic, the “Green” coach confirmed: “If a proposal comes (from Panathinaikos) I will think about it. If he doesn’t come, I’ll look forward. I know people on the other side of the Atlantic are watching me. I’m at the highest level in the EuroLeague. “At the moment I don’t have an offer from the NBA, but if it comes I know I will do my best there.”
Finally, referring to the upcoming year of Panathinaikos Aktor, Ataman emphasized: “We have started planning for the new season. We are the champions. A maximum of two players will leave and two will come. “They will be important players, President Giannakopoulos will not bring in ordinary players anyway.”
