Meanwhile, AADE’s two new collection services, the Verification and Collection Centers (KEBEIS), operating in Athens and Thessaloniki, are gaining speed and chasing down debtors across the country.

The system will automatically seize the debtors’ accounts once the debt becomes overdue, while the application will identify the profile of each debtor, drawing information on his income and assets from all AADE’s information systems, MyAADE, Taxisnet, Icisnet, Elenxis, as well as from third parties, such as Land Registry, GEMI, EFKA, KEAO, ERGANI, Stock Exchange and banks, as well as from tax authorities in other countries.

Automatic confiscation: Obligors

In particular, the debtor’s financial situation, sources and flows of income will be recorded, and if he has overdue debts, AADE will proceed with direct seizure. The seizure will not be limited to the main debtor, but action will also be taken against co-obligors (spouses, other relatives, guarantors, legal representatives).

Through ISPRAXIS, risk analysis criteria are applied and collection actions are taken based on the debtor’s behavior, notices and reminders regarding penalties, debt cases are classified based on a set of characteristics (debtor’s name, debt amount, time period of the case delay, date of the last action, etc.), a real-time database of the debtor’s image, debts and other relevant elements is created so that offsets and settlements can be implemented, appropriate notices can be sent and appropriate measures can be taken.
