Paris 2024: The French raised the Olympic flag upside down!

As was evident from the television broadcast, the French were soaked in the rain, which led to the Olympic flag being raised upside down, with the two circles on the upper side.

The 33rd modern Olympic Games officially began with a special “parade” on the River Seine, with the team boats, although rain made life difficult for spectators and organizers and probably disturbed the athletes participating in the parade. However, French politicians had their fair share of the Seine and many doubts about the purity of its waters.

However, the IOC’s Twitter and social media handles either didn’t take the matter at all, or tried to ignore it without the slightest hint.

The Olympic flag is raised to the sound of the Olympic Anthem performed by 60 singers from the Radio France Choir and 90 musicians from the French National Orchestra. 🎶

How did they manage to lose 2.11m Giannis Antetokounmpo?

The parade of athletes was quite different from the usual, as the athletes were on barges on the Seine. In the first case, the athletes did not walk through the Olympic stadium, but sailed. Something more comfortable for the athletes and we must give them credit for it as a positive thing.

As always, it was the Greek Olympic team that opened the show, with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Antigoni Drespitiote wearing the blue and white.
