Joyce Evedis: “I still have to work to survive, unfortunately I have a good mortgage to pay off”

“When I was a kid we worked for 3 years and 60 years, and when I got older my money couldn’t go up that much because I was working with so many people,” Joyce Ifedi says.

Joyce Ifedi gave an interview to Loipon magazine and Andreas Theodorou. The actress also talked about her financial earnings during her career years.

Can you today, after all these successes, say that you do not need to work again?

You’re kidding me (laughs). How much money do you think we make from these shows? What does Jennifer Aniston make from Friends? I still have to work for a living, unfortunately. I have a good mortgage to pay off.

Why do some actors say they bought a house on a show and you still have a mortgage to pay?

I didn’t have that big of a cache. When I was a kid we worked 3 and 60 and when I got older my money couldn’t really go up because I was working multiple jobs. I didn’t have a band, I took care of my dad all those years and the animals. I couldn’t tie a knot.

Are you an animal welfare activist, or have you always been?

I’ve been like this since I was a child, because my parents were like this. But the state doesn’t help the homeless at all… I help a lot of associations, whoever wants to help me I give them.
