Roman Yaremchuk arrived in Greece in the early hours of Monday morning to complete his move to Olympiacos.
Olympiacos are very close to completing another transfer deal, with 28-year-old Ukrainian striker Roman Yaremchuk arriving at Eleftherios Venizelos in the early hours of Monday morning.
The fierce international striker (height 1.91) is expected to pass the medical tests in the coming hours and then complete the formalities with signatures to become an Olympiacos player and join Ayoub El Kaabi at the forefront of the attack.
In order to wear Yaremchuk in red and white, Piraeus received 3.5 million euros from their coffers plus another bonus for achieving goals, while according to information from SPORT24, Ilias Kalonas and Antonis Economidis, the Ukrainian striker’s earnings will exceed six million euros over four years.
Who is Yaremchuk?
The experienced striker has been at Brugge since August 2022, when he joined from Benfica for €18.5 million. In September 2023, he was loaned to Valencia, where he played until last January.
Last season he played on loan in La Liga with Valencia and in the Conference League qualifiers with Club Brugge and in a total of 34 games in all competitions he scored 8 goals, while he also scored against Slovakia in the recent Euro Championship in Germany.
The 28-year-old began his career in the Dynamo Kyiv academy and signed his first professional contract with the first team in January 2017.
A few months later, in August of the same year, he got his first transfer, moving to Belgium on behalf of Gent, who took 2 million euros from their coffers.
