Ukraine has destroyed a strategically important bridge over the Sim River as it continues its invasion of Russia’s Kursk region.
Russian officials say the operation near the town of Glushkovo has isolated part of the local area.

The Kremlin has used the bridge to supply its forces, and its destruction could hamper their efforts.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukrainian forces were strengthening their positions in Kursk and described the occupied territory as a swap fund, meaning it could be exchanged for Ukrainian territory controlled by Moscow.
