Pellistri will undergo medical tests in the next few hours and will sign with Panathinaikos until 2028. This is the contract of the 22-year-old right winger.
Panathinaikos are heading for Facundo Pellistri, with the Greens having reached an agreement with Manchester United for the 22-year-old Uruguayan winger.
Now, the Greens are waiting for the player to arrive, in order to complete the official part of the deal. The truth is that Al-Barseem fought a big battle to get him.
Manchester United were asking for between €12-15m 20 days ago. However, Panathinaikos managed to complete the deal for €6m, with some goal-scoring bonuses yet to be determined.
For his part, Pellistri will sign a contract for the next four years, that is, until the summer of 2028. The Uruguayan will receive 1.6 million euros net each year, while with bonuses the amount could reach two million.
Dealing with “signature” Alonso
It’s a deal that carries the “signature” of Diego Alonso. The Uruguayan coach has been roasting and extracting the footballer’s deal for about a week. Panathinaikos coach THe knows very well that Pellistri is taking his first steps into the sky with him.
Pellistri will immediately be included in Diego Alonso’s plans and, apart from the shocking possibility, he will be on Panathinaikos’ squad for the games against Lens in the Conference League playoffs.
