23-year-old gymnast Natalie Stichova, who was with two friends and her partner at the German “Sleeping Beauty” castle, has tragically died.
According to The Sun, Natalie Stichova was shot dead while trying to take a selfie to post on Instagram on August 15.
A friend of Natalie Stichova told German media that she was lying very close to the edge of the cliff when she slipped while posing for the camera.
“He fell about 80 metres,” he said characteristically. “We’ll never know if he slipped or if a piece broke off the edge of the cliff.”
The young woman was with two of her friends and her partner when the tragedy occurred.
Police described the route as a “difficult climb.”
Natalie Stichova initially survived the apparent fall and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Her mother is devastated.
Her family made the decision to stop mechanical support due to irreversible brain damage last Wednesday.
Natalie became famous in her hometown and began training young athletes.
