However, the most eye-catching element of her overall look was Bardot’s bouncy updo with a black bow, a must-have hair accessory this season. For the record, actress Brigitte Bardot was known for her big hair in the 1960s, which is still the iconic “French girl look” today. The legendary star sported curtain bangs and a lot of volume, especially at the crown. Lana Del Rey herself, on the other hand, often adopted the “big hair” philosophy in her 1960s-inspired hairstyles, especially early in her career.

Hairstylist Anna Covoni posted photos of Lana Del Rey’s look on Instagram a few days ago, describing the look as “beauty queen style with a touch of Bardot.” Using Authentic Beauty Concept products, she added volume to the singer’s hair, then pulled half of it back, leaving a few front strands to evenly frame her face. The hairstylist even added a black bow to the pulled-back hair, which was an interesting touch and lifted the hairstyle.
