Cuba continues to make global progress in vaccination against Govt-19

With 89.3 percent of the population vaccinated against Govt-19, Cuba has one of the highest immunization coverage in the world.

According to Everworld’s Database, the Antilles is the third largest population in the world with a complete plan, surpassing only the United Arab Emirates and Portugal.

The Ministry of Public Health today announced that 9 million 889 thousand 981 people have already completed immunization design through the national drugs Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala.

As of March 7, 10,614,788 people had received at least one dose, including those who had recovered from a single dose vaccination with Soperana Plus.

Of that number, nine million 379 thousand 545 were the second dose and the third, nine million 58 thousand 781.

In addition, six million 32 thousand 529 people had booster coverage: 282 thousand 828 as part of a clinical study, and five million 749 thousand 701 on the booster vaccine population for selected regions and risk groups.

In total, 35,086,108 doses are administered by Cuban vaccine in the country.
