After being practically forced into retirement in February, Tom Brady It was announced earlier this week that he will be returning to Tampa Bay Buccaneers For the 2022 NFL season.

Tom Brady Sr. appeared in “slimyPodcast with Mike Greenberg said the media had forced his son’s hand and that the future Hall of Fame quarterback prematurely said he wouldn’t be back for year 23.
“They were announcing his retirement even before he’s retired,” Tom Brady Sr. said on the podcast. “You know, it’s the media that makes the news. He wasn’t ready to make any decisions and he didn’t make any decisions, but [Adam] shifter and [Jeff] Darlington mentioned it as fact. As you know, no decision has been made on that.”

“They all agreed that this is the path that works best for the Brady family,” added Brady Sr. “He’s as happy as he can be. …it took a little time to sort this thing out. I mean he’s in kind of uncharted territory. So if people seem to think he’s missed a step, hey, welcome to our world. No. A lot of people can make that decision at 44 years old and 45 years old.”
