A band of marauders against the couriers in the Attica regions was eliminated

The Northeast Attica Security Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate continued to dismantle a gang that was active in robberies against couriers in various parts of Attica.

In this case, on Friday morning, two people were arrested in Attika areas, and a case was registered against them for being complicit and attempting to do such activities through business and computer. Fraud, gangs, as well as arms violations.

According to the police, the two defendants formed a criminal group with the intention of committing joint robberies against food and beverage couriers in various parts of Attica since at least early November.

In more detail, based on their operation, using a “commercial motorcycle”, they approached the distributor-target mainly in the afternoon or evening and, after immobilizing him, forced him to hand over receipts, personal items (such as mobile phones) or money.

Also, they made sure to wear helmets, hoods or caps on their faces while indulging in robberies. In fact in some cases there was more.

EL.AS. As indicated, eight robbery cases and one attempted robbery case between November 6 and December 4, 2023 in northeastern Attica and central Athens have been resolved.

During the search conducted, the following were found and seized:

• 9 Knives, Sword, Wood Stick, Air Pistol and Gun, Axe,

• 8 mobile phones,

•2 jackets, shorts, hat, -2- pairs of shoes, pants, gloves, purse, 2 hats, 2 full face hoods,

•News,

•40 Euros and

•Two wheeler motorcycle as a means of committing crime.

The arrested persons were taken to the competent prosecutor’s office with a case registered against them.
