On Tuesday afternoon, November 28, in Rethymno, Crete, police officers from the Rethymno Narcotics Prosecution Department proceeded to arrest a 48-year-old citizen accused of violating the law on drugs and weapons.
According to ELAS, in the context of targeted operations and special operations prepared by the Rethymno Police Directorate to combat drug possession and trafficking, this afternoon, a citizen was spotted driving a passenger car and stopped by police officers of the above service. .
A revolver and more than 70 bullets were found in the accused’s house
During a search of his vehicle and a subsequent search of his home, a total of 151 grams of cocaine, 1 revolver, 74 rounds of ammunition, €1,920 in drug proceeds and 2 mobile phones were found and confiscated.
Also, an IXE car was seized as a drug smuggling tool.
A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Narcotics Case Unit of the Rethymno Security Sub-Directorate.
