Twin sisters and their relatives died in a train accident in Tempe last February.
The twin sisters and their cousin were in the canteen when the trains collided in Tempe because there was no seat in the fifth car they had bought tickets for. The three girls were killed instantly and the sad news left their native Kalambaka in mourning. Almost 5 months later, this unspeakable tragedy resurfaces.
A park is being built in Kastraki, Trikala, Thessaly, to forever remember the three girls who died in a train accident in Tempe.
As trikalanews.gr reports, it was a request to the municipality from the families of the dead girls that was accepted by the city council.
Therefore, it was decided to create a park behind the Kastraki Museum and reform the village playground. All of the above will be done with money donated by the family in memory of the three girls.
It is recalled that two twin sisters Thomai and Chrissa Plagia and their first cousin Anastasia Plagia lost their lives on the fateful night of February 28 along with 54 others.
The three women were returning to Thessaloniki, where they studied, three days after Clean Monday.
Their family was well known and liked in the local community as they ran a pub in the area.
