A police officer working in the Piraeus security sub-directorate and allegedly transporting deported women to hotels in the Metamorfosi area were arrested for participating in a pimping ring in Attica.
Internal Affairs began investigating the case after the service received a telephone complaint that the 40-year-old police officer was involved in a pimping ring.
The “corruption” immediately investigated the case, while also proceeding to remove the policeman's phone privacy.
During the trial, the 40-year-old admitted that over the past year, he had smuggled girls as young as 10 years old from Russia and Ukraine to Greece for entertainment, and transported them in his vehicle. He did this because he knew the language and certain women could trust him.
Last Thursday afternoon (21.03.24) the police officer was arrested by the internal affairs wing of the security forces as part of a spontaneous operation and a case was filed against him for violation of the Arms Act and continued fraud.
After an organized police operation, the accused was found and immobilized, and was found and seized when he was in possession of:
-2- Mobile phones,
-3,035- Euros,
-12- caliber 5.56 mm bullets,
-7- Portable wireless transceivers and
iron hand
