The viper is one of the most useful reptiles of the Greek fauna, however, as it is the only snake dangerous to humans, it has been targeted many times.
When found inside a residential area, it causes… panic!
Such a beautiful lady (probably a gentleman but we’re not experts) was nowhere to be seen in public at the very central park square in Lamia. After the initial panic, the beautiful reptile was found dead.
Small snake species include vipers, which can reach 35-40 cm. It is distinguished by the horn (aposis) on its nose, its broad head and its vertical cat-like eye.
The designs on his spine are unrepresentative and confusing to some, but generally there is this zig zag that is usually continuous. They are bulky snakes that end in a sharp thin tail like the one found in Park Square.
How did it get there? Maybe it was food from a bird that flew over the town, maybe she got stuck somewhere in the vehicle again in the woods and couldn’t stand it until her lifeless body fell off it as it passed through the town.
