There are not a few videos on the internet where drivers of electric cars (mainly Tesla) can be seen parked at a gas station and trying to hook up the pump. Most of the time the subject is simply forgotten, or everything is done for the sake of views (in today’s world we are convinced that many will pretend too much for the views).
But we also have the first time a woman who went viral for the aforementioned reason has come out publicly to say why. Speaking to the Daily Star, Story’s star, Danielle Wright, said it had been a busy day capturing the video. She added that her Model Y was also very new at the time, so the old habits came naturally.
“I honestly don’t know what I did, it was the end of a long day and the car is brand new. I just walked into the gas station and was thinking about the candy I was going to get from the counter and not the fact that my car doesn’t actually need gas.” Wright also said she was disappointed by some of the comments in the video, though she admitted it was an “embarrassing mistake”. He added, “They said it wasn’t my car and that I had more money than sense, which is probably the most frustrating thing.”
Of course, even Elon Musk chimed in on her side, commenting on Twitter below the video “It happens sometimes. Habits are hard to break.”
