Labor Minister Kostis Hatzidakis said the punctuality check will be paid on December 20, but he did not rule out the possibility of a small deviation.
Until December 20, efforts are under way to give a check of 250 euros to low pensioners and vulnerable social groups who meet the conditions, announced the Minister of Labor, Kostis Hatzidakis.
A total of 2.3 million vulnerable citizens will be supported, including those who are entitled to child benefit and guaranteed minimum income.
One million retirees will receive an allowance of 250 euros, and 174,000 beneficiaries of the OPCA allowance, in addition to 36,000 uninsured elderly people.
beneficiaries
The accuracy check will be given to 2,300,000 beneficiaries, with income criteria, these being the following categories:
For poor pensioners
for beneficiaries of disability benefits
For uninsured seniors
For beneficiaries of a guaranteed minimum income
To the long-term unemployed, and
For child benefit recipients until December 31, 2022.
Beneficiaries are those who meet the following conditions:
The annual taxable individual income for the 2022 tax year does not exceed 9,600 euros (from 7,200 previously), which means that the individual income cannot exceed 800 euros per month.
The annual taxable income of their family (total taxable income of the debtor and his/her spouse/cohabiting partner) does not exceed €16,800 (from 14,400 previously), which in practice means that for a married couple the monthly income cannot exceed €1,400.
The total value of the household property resulting from the administrative ENFIA of 2022 (tax year 2021), not exceeding the amount of 300,000 euros (from 200,000 previously)
They are tax residents of Greece and have submitted an income tax return for the 2021 tax year.
The amount of assistance per beneficiary is €250, regardless of the number of dependent members. In the event that both spouses are beneficiaries of the assistance, the assistance is paid to both of them. If the beneficiary receives a pension from both e-EFKA and GLK, the assistance is paid by e-EFKA.
In connection with the granting of exceptional financial assistance to approximately 174,000 beneficiaries of the disability allowance provided by OPCA, it is expected that the December welfare benefits will be increased by 250 euros.
It is also expected that the monthly pension for uninsured seniors and social solidarity allowance for uninsured seniors will be given an additional €250 to approximately 36,000 beneficiaries. Obviously, if the EFKA low-income pensioner is also a beneficiary of a disability or other OPCA benefit, he or she will only receive the low-income pension support.
With the aim of supporting guaranteed minimum income beneficiaries, i.e. families living in extreme poverty, a double premium will be awarded in December to approximately 225,000 beneficiaries.
Who will get a “double” check for punctuality?
Elderly couples (two pensioners) with low pensions are the winners, as they will receive a double allowance for punctuality, i.e. husband and wife.
Specifically, pensioners with a monthly family income of up to 1,400 euros (both spouses), and whose estate does not exceed 300,000 euros, will receive 250 euros, a total of 500 euros, before Christmas.
