“Al-Madani” in AEK to Almeida: “He is a charlatan, he has turned the team up and down”

Christos Ardizoglou gave an interview to FOS, in which he talked about AEK’s shocking elimination from Europe.

In fact, he also referred to Matias Almeidas as an impostor, which sparked a reaction from the team’s veterans association.

Some highlights from Ardizoglu’s interview:

For AEK case: “We ate our lives on the pitch. Give him a charlatan contract until 2028 if you have God! Because Melissanidis flattered him. And you see him reacting to his statements, everyone is blaming him but him.

Instead of walking away and leaving on his own, he says he is under contract until 2028 and has rejected other offers. Good for them. And about Pineda, remember what I said? They made this b*tch pretend to be a player, paid him several million, and he was unrecognizable last year as he paid straight away to leave!

“Because Almeida wanted him and because he was their player, they paid him gold, the most expensive transfer in the history of AEK. He turned AEK upside down.”

About what he will do: “I will sack Almeida, there are many good coaches. I will send him home and bring another coach, so he can be spoiled and go off on his own.

Before that I would have said to him, ‘Let’s figure it out, get some compensation, and let’s part ways as friends.’ Am I going to give him until 2028 to have whoever he wants, and then push for players to leave, not for my strikers, while we don’t have a second striker?

As for AEK’s performance which has declined: “Either they stopped taking their vitamins, or it burned them out… The first year they were wild. Now they’re going in the opposite direction…

Where is the football that AEK played the year they won the championship? You can see the ball is being lost. Have they forgotten about football? But even on a regular basis the team is not cohesive. Everyone goes to score a goal alone. Chaos? And who gave him a contract until 2028? Let’s celebrate him.”

AEK Veterans Announced:

My dear friends

As the AEK Old Footballers Association, we would like to limit our activity to charity matches and events that honor the past and history of our club.

However, unfortunately, there are times when we have to deal with very uncomfortable situations, such as the one created by our old colleague and friend Christos Ardizoglou for a very long time.

For some time now, this particular man has been attacking right and wrong with his public statements, both in his interviews and on social media, finding a great place to glory for making delusional statements, often incomprehensible, but clearly offensive to the people of AEK and to the people who wrote and continue to make history with it.

He put himself out of the list of old players, despite the fact that none of us had any intention at all of keeping him out of our union and from AEK.

For a long time, he has been insulting his old colleagues, bordering on slander, with the most recent and prominent example being what he said about Thomas Mavro and his involvement in the 1984 Micty Cosmo.

His latest “hit” was his interview today in Fos Ton Spor, a Greek newspaper known for decades for supporting Olympiacos.

At a time when our team is trying to leave the European elimination behind and dedicate itself to the championship that is about to start, Mr. Ardizoglou was chosen by this very newspaper to speak about AEK and even managed to speak against the team’s coach Matías Almeida.

Of course, the choice was not random. This veteran player is always ready to criticize and of course anyone who wants to cause trouble for AEK knows that very well.

All these years, we have respected Christos Ardizoglu’s history at AEK, even respected his personality traits and left room for anger. But this cannot happen forever, especially since the great glory of AEK’s past has become a “tool” in the hands of our opponents.

If Christos Ardizoglu has complaints about AEK or the old players of AEK, he should express them in the appropriate place.

And not to present these obscene hadiths of lies, misleading, disrespect and ingratitude in the media and social media. We hope that we will not have to deal with it in the future, because next time we will not be satisfied with one announcement.
