Alan Wake 2: This is the initial raw gameplay footage for Remedy’s survival horror title

As confirmed by the title’s creative director, Sam Lake, Alan Wake 2 will have many… “twos”. The theme of duality is central to the game, which will feature two campaigns, two playable characters, and two worlds to explore.

Each campaign will have its own style and mood. Thus, Saga Anderson’s campaign is inspired by, for example, the beloved series True Detective and the Oscar-nominated film Se7en. In fact, it was explained that while the game would remain linear and not follow the open world trend, it would have “open area” gameplay, with more open and large areas that players could explore, if they wished.

Alan Wake 2 is expected to be released for PC (via Epic Games Store only), as well as for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S on Oct. 17 The year is 2023. The game will be a digital-only release, with no physical copies on store shelves, but hopefully this will change, as we’ve told you.
