A gruesome murder took place on Tuesday in the Rachi residence of the local community of Agia Trida in the municipality. Ancient Olympia. A minor dispute between two men over trespassing of one’s animals in the other’s field resulted in the murder.
According to ilialiive.gr, an 82-year-old man shot his neighbor twice in the back.
According to the same sources, the 50-year-old was at the scene to transport milk from his herd with his brother.
The accused argued with the victim because some time his animals were crossing on his own land and this was a strong point of friction.
According to reports, the victim was soft-spoken and apologized to the old man for this fact. She even saw him holding a gun and told him: “…what should I do now, it’s not my fault, so kill me.”
But the moment he walked away, the 82-year-old allegedly shot him in the back, fatally injuring him.
The victim’s brother, who was present at the scene, unsuccessfully tried to stop the harm, and once the old man turned the gun in his direction, he was able to grab it and disarm him.
