Ancient Tragedy in a Grave: Digging a Grave for a Funeral He Cold – Relatives of the Deceased Find Him

Scenes of an ancient tragedy unfolded on Tuesday afternoon (23/07) at a cemetery in the northern part of the city of Lamia, as a 51-year-old municipal employee dug up the grave of another colleague. The citizen who was to be buried collapsed into the newly dug grave.

However, the saddest part of the case, as lamiareport.gr writes, is that the unfortunate man was found dead and fell to the ground by relatives of the sleeping man to carry out his burial.

Taking over the ceremony, an employee of the funeral home who had just arrived ran up to him and tried to give him first aid with CPR, along with a doctor at the scene.

They immediately informed the EKAV so that an ambulance could pick him up and take him to Lamia Hospital, but the 51-year-old had already lost his life.

According to the same information, his death was due to an unknown cause, he felt discomfort during work and as a result lost consciousness and fell on the floor.

It was Giannis M., a 51-year-old municipal employee and father of four. During the last 13-14 years, he helped considerably in the beautification of this particular cemetery, while he became permanent and worked in the cleaning service.

There is much mourning in Lamia because she was especially loved by the local community. His colleagues, in fact, spoke of him in great words: “A giant with the heart of a small child, you can easily take his soul with a request. A two-meter complainer who does not like injustice”.

An autopsy will reveal the cause of his death.
