With a long post on Facebook, Spiros Pipilas announced that the actor and her husband Eleni Gerasimidou, Antonis Xenos and their daughter, AngelicaAn actor was also brought to GADA.
According to the head of SEH, the reason for the arrest was that they raised the Palestinian flag from their car.
More specifically, Mr Spiros Pipilas wrote: “The situation in our country seems to be out of control! It is with great sadness and anger that we were recently informed that our SEH members, long-time activists, were brought to GADA for allegedly raising the Palestinian flag from their car… They are Antonis Xeno and Ageliki Xeno (our dear Eleni Gerasimidou (family). When was free speech banned? The reaction was immediate.

And Eleni, as a directly interested party, former KKE parliamentarian, head of SEH, member of Pleussi Eleftherias, and I demand the immediate release of our 2 actors. We stand in solidarity with the plight of the Palestinian people and their slaughter by Israeli forces in retaliation for terrorist Hamas atrocities. Government should protect freedom of expression.
On the other hand, the head of the Hellenic solution, Mr. Today I was scolded in the middle of the road by a God-fearing woman, as I defended the right to freedom of expression in parliament when Velopoulos characterized the remarkable Themida. Immoral pasakas for her comments. It seems that a lot more work is needed to make everyone respect others’ opinions.. Finally our country and all our people should be in harmony with the values of freedom and democracy.
