2024 is a big year for Nick. I. Theocharakis SA, as the company proudly celebrates its 100th anniversary.
The company began in 1924 with a small personal company specializing in automotive supplies and liquid fuels founded by Nikolaos I Theokarakis in Piraeus. The entrepreneurial extroversion, insight and boldness of Nikolaos Theokarakis, from the first steps, They have always been the guiding axis of the company, allowing it to present itself decisively throughout these 100 years.
The management of the company then passed from Nikolaos Theoharakis to his sons Yannis and Vassilis Theoharakis, but now the reins of management have passed to Takis Theoharakis.
There is no doubt that the most important milestone for the company was the beginning of its cooperation with April, in 1961. This was also the first official Nissan Motor Company dealership. In Europe and one of the first companies in the world.

The operation of the plant consolidated Nissan's successful presence in the Greek automobile market and led it to first place in sales among all automobile companies for a long period, from 1981 to 1993. From the beginning of the factory's operation until 1995, more than 170,000 cars were assembled.
From there, many important things followed: In 1989, the milestone of producing 100,000 cars at the factory in Volos occurred. In 1994, the Model Center for Auto Parts Distribution and Training was established in Aspropyrgos – employee training has been an ongoing endeavor since the company was founded. In 2015, 600,000 sales of new Nissan vehicles were achieved in Greece.
Early 2023, Nick. I. Theocharakis SA, true to its commitment to environmental protection, has completed a major investment of photovoltaic parks at its facilities in Athens, Aspropyrgos and Kalochori, in Thessaloniki, promoting and strengthening environmental awareness, as an integral part of its culture. Through this investment in photovoltaic panels, the company now covers up to 80% of its current energy needs, and aims to reach 100% in the near future.
The Group through the companies NIK.I.THEOHARAKIS SA and THEOHARAKIS SA, in addition to representing Nissan, is successfully active in marketing a wide range of products, such as: Japanese Yokohama tires (since 1957), Suzuki outboard engines (since 1982), and agricultural tractors. SAME & DEUTZ combine harvesters – FAHR machines (since 1978), Green Machines vacuum cleaners, KENDA and LASSA tyres, BMC large trucks, JAC trucks, REGIS electric light trucks, ADDAX electric light trucks, VMF car batteries, lubricants and WYNN'S chemical products, detergents PERMATEX chemical, as well as other products.
With a century long history of activity in the Greek market, Nick. I. Theocharakis SA, from 1924 until today, continues its dynamic path with strong foundations and a vision for the future.
