Arkalochori: After the houses.. they also take the money of the earthquake victims from Arogi by emptying the bank accounts

This money was deposited in the accounts of earthquake victims in order to restore the damage caused by the September 27 earthquake.

An incredible complaint has emerged from the Association of Earthquake Victims in the municipality of Minoa Piedada “I Elpida”, whose members revealed, through their posts on social media, the collection of undeclared funds from an unsourced account for a large family of earthquake victims, confirming that the government is once again in contradiction. Complete with what is approved by law and circulars.

After this incident, the members of the “Hope” Club called on citizens to review their accounts and, in the event of similar incidents, contact them. In detail, the full text of the post states: “On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, the Association of Seismologists of the Municipality of Minoa Pidida “I Elpida” received another named complaint regarding violent and undeclared fundraising by the AADE from state aid funds deposited by the government Greek itself with the aim of completing and restoring the damage caused by the earthquake of September 27, 2021.

The government itself is once again completely inconsistent with what the law and circulars have established, resulting in citizens suffering through no fault of their own. Therefore, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 24a and 24b of 4797/2021 (A66), funds are neither linked nor set off against confirmed debts of the tax administration and the public, municipalities, regions, insurance funds or credit institutions.

Our association has previously succeeded, after 45 days of struggle and pressure on the competent and concerned authorities, in releasing the accounts of many of our citizens.

Citizens are advised to constantly audit their accounts and the amounts of government aid deposited to recover the damage caused by the September 27, 2021 earthquake.

In case of similar incidents of withholding of unrestricted government aid funds by any banking institution, NPDD, or tax office, please inform us at the association’s email [email protected] so that we can inform us and initiate the corresponding action.

Recently, the Association of Seismologists of the Municipality of Minoa Bediada “Elpida” received a large number of complaints about the same issue, from victims of floods in Thessaly (Karditsa, Larissa, Volos) as well as from Evros.”
