the Shadows of Assassin’s Creed There will be two heroes, Naoe, who will have the role of a Shinobi Assassin and Yasuke, who will have the role of a Samurai. The two characters will have very different playstyles. Naoe will specialize in stealth to avoid detection and eliminate enemies quietly. Instead, Yasuke will specialize in fighting with powerful attacks.
Immediately after introducing the first gameplay in the recent Ubisoft Forward, several members of the development team conducted interviews, revealing more details about these two characters. In one such interview with Axios’ Stephen Totilo, we learned more about how stealth works, and Ubisoft even confirmed that a traditional feature that fans of the series love will be missing again.
especially, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will not have social stealth. The mechanic, which was re-added in Assassin’s Creed Mirage after being absent in previous chapters, will once again be missing from Shadows. This also applies to Naoe, although she theoretically specializes in stealth. So how will stealth work in the open world?
Naoe won’t stand out in the crowd. This means that enemy NPCs will not be able to recognize them while in the open world unless they start doing illegal things like climbing places they shouldn’t or waving their sword. Naoe will be “virtually invisible” in the open world. As for Yasuke, of course, it is impossible for him to blend in unnoticed, when the enemies see him directly.
Got an update from Ubisoft about social stealth in AC Shadows, after their producer misspoke when comparing Yasuke and Naoe’s stealth abilities
-No classic social stealth, even for Naoe
– But it goes unnoticed in crowds by default; not himhttps://t.co/LKc4jeKDY2 pic.twitter.com/fxmLR3KKwL– Stephen Totilo (@stephentotilo) June 14, 2024
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released on November 15, 2024 exclusively for current generation consoles, PS5, Xbox Series
