theTV viewers felt goosebumps when… Netflix The company has released the trailer for the highly anticipated miniseries “El Caso Asunta” (The Asunta Case), a re-enactment of a historic murder trial in Spain.
The series tells the story of Assunta Pastera, a 12-year-old girl who was murdered in 2013 by her adoptive parents.
The plot of the series focuses on the trial that follows for the girl's murder, but also on what happened before it.

In the trailer, Candela Peña, who plays Rosario Puerto, says: “My mother taught me that if you don't say anything, it's as if nothing happened.” The real Rosario Porto maintained her innocence until her death in 2020.
The series details every aspect of the story, from the disappearance of the 12-year-old girl to the discovery of her body and the sentencing of her parents, in a chilling way.
Social media users have praised the trailer saying so “You can't tell if they're pretending or if they're the real thing.” And “That's how it goes, well done, Netflix.”
The story was also the subject of a four-part documentary titled “El Caso Asunta: Operación Nenufar,” which is still available on Netflix.
The Asunta Case series will be released on the platform on April 26.
