A manhunt is underway to determine the culprit
Terror has been sowed in downtown Atlanta by a gunman who opened fire on a crowd near a hospital.
According to available information, there is one fatality and dozens of seriously injured.
So far, three injured people have been hospitalized in serious condition.
And the Atlanta police, in a statement, spoke of several people who were shot by the gunman, saying that the perpetrator is known to the authorities and that the pursuit continues.
Anyone in the area is required to secure the building and shelter in place. Anyone who is not in the area is asked to stay away.

According to the same source, the incident occurred inside a building on West Peachtree Street between 12th and 13th Streets, near Northside Medical Center. Authorities released photographs of the alleged perpetrator.
CCTV footage shows a man wearing a face mask and crossbody bag pointing a gun at what appears to be a reception area.
Eyewitnesses said they saw injured people being removed on stretchers and ambulances leaving the scene of the attack.
Another photo shows him unmasked with his hood up in an elevator. No arrests have been made at this time.
